The temple was dedicated to the gods <\/em><\/strong>Shiva<\/a><\/em><\/strong>, <\/em><\/strong>Brahma<\/a><\/em><\/strong>, and <\/em><\/strong>Vishnu<\/a><\/em><\/strong><\/span>, with more than a thousand buildings, Originally built as a Hindu temple dedicated to the god Vishnu, it was converted into a Buddhist temple in the 14th century, and statues of Buddha were added to its rich artwork.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the early 15th century Angkor was abandoned & was \u201crediscovered\u201d after the French colonial regime was established in 1863, In 1992 the Angkor complex was designated as a World Heritage site by UNESCO.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
