After decades of travelling across continents, hundreds of flights, and unforgettable journeys from Antarctica to the Caribbean, we were searching for something different.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Not just another vacation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A journey where every part had a purpose.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A perfect balance between:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Adventure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Comfort.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Discovery.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And unforgettable memories.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

But every dream journey has one difficult stage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The planning table.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A blank map of Europe looks simple.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Countries appear close together.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Cities seem connected.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A few train rides here.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A short flight there.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A cruise in between.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The problem with Europe is not finding places to visit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The problem is deciding what to leave out.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

When you have not travelled much, making a Europe itinerary is easy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

You simply list every famous destination.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Switzerland.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Venice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Amsterdam.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Santorini.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

London.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Rome.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

But after visiting many of these iconic places over different journeys, our approach was different.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We did not want to create a checklist.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We wanted a story.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A journey that flowed naturally.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A journey where every destination connected emotionally.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Because travel is not a competition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“How many countries can you cover?”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“How many moments will you remember?”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\ud83d\udea2 The Turning Point: Two Cruises Instead Of One<\/h1>\n\n\n\n

The biggest decision came when we started looking at cruises.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Initially, the thought was simple:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Take one Mediterranean cruise.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Enjoy the sea.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Visit a few European ports.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Finish the holiday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

But then we started studying the routes carefully.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

One cruise could take us towards:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\ud83c\uddec\ud83c\uddee Gibraltar<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\ud83c\uddf2\ud83c\udde6 Morocco<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Another route opened opportunities in the Mediterranean.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Suddenly, one cruise felt incomplete.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The idea appeared:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What if the cruise was not a part of the Europe trip?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

What if the cruise became the backbone of the Europe trip?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

That single thought changed everything.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\ud83d\udea2 Why This Approach Made Sense<\/h1>\n\n\n\n

After experiencing multiple cruises around the world \u2014 Mediterranean, Alaska, Northern Fjords, Caribbean, Hawaii and Asia \u2014 we understood something important.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Cruising solves one of travel’s biggest challenges:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Moving between destinations without constantly moving your luggage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A traditional Europe trip often means:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Pack.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Checkout.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Transfer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Check-in.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Unpack.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Every great story needs a strong opening chapter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For this journey, it had to be Italy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Rome is not just another city.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It is a living museum.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

History is everywhere.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ancient roads.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Roman architecture.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hidden neighbourhoods.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Amazing food.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And after multiple European visits, we knew something:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Rome deserves time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Not just a quick photograph near the Colosseum.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Not just rushing between attractions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A city like Rome rewards slow exploration.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\ud83c\udf0a The Amalfi Coast Surprise<\/h1>\n\n\n\n

Then came a destination that was not originally part of the plan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Amalfi Coast.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sometimes the best additions to an itinerary are the ones you almost ignore.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The route was already complicated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Time was limited.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Adding Amalfi meant adjusting everything.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

But every picture told the same story:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Cliffside villages.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Blue Mediterranean waters.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Beautiful coastal roads.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Small towns that looked like paintings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The question became:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“If we are already travelling this far, can we really miss this?”<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The answer was obvious.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Amalfi was added.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This was one of the interesting decisions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Many travellers asked:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“Why not Venice?”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The answer is not because Venice is not worth visiting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Quite the opposite.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Venice has already given us wonderful memories from previous European journeys.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

But one lesson from experienced travel is:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sometimes you don’t skip a place because it is not good.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

You skip it because another experience fits the story better.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This time, the focus was different.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The journey needed more coastline, cruising and Southern European experiences.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Venice remains a beautiful chapter already written.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After many evenings of research, the route started making sense.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Every connection had to answer three questions:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Does it save time?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Does it add experience?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Does it make the journey comfortable?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If the answer was no…<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It was removed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Planning a long international trip is not only about destinations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It is also about value.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Flights.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
